Fund
Manager
Summit

A one-day gathering of fund of funds managers, capital raisers, and the allocators who back them. You come to meet the other people raising capital — the sessions are what you do between conversations.

  • Why now

Why the way you raised in

2021 stopped working.

Debt got expensive

Deals that penciled on cheap debt don't pencil on today's. The operators still closing changed where their equity comes from — not how they underwrite.

LPs got choosier

Allocators have more options than they used to and longer memories than you'd like. A track record gets you read. The structure, the reporting and the story are what get you funded.

Deal-by-deal has a ceiling

Every raise you start from nothing costs you the deal you could have worked instead. A fund turns that repeated effort into capital that's already committed — if it's built right the first time.

  • THE EVENT

One day, one room, one track

The Fund Manager Summit puts fund of funds managers, capital raisers and allocators in one room for a day.

The main reason to come is the people. Everyone here raises or places capital for a living, so the person beside you at the break has probably already solved whatever you're working through.

The sessions give the day its spine — fund of funds structure, raising capital in this market, what allocators look for, compliance, and what a fund actually costs to run. One track, one room, so there's nothing to choose between and nobody splits off.

It's free to attend because our partners cover the cost.

One day, One track

Nothing runs against anything else

9:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST

Check-in opens at 8:30 AM

Time to talk, on the schedule

Open stretches between every session

Free to attend

No ticket, no cost at the door

  • THE ROOM

Who you'll be sitting with

This is the part we'd point to first. Everyone in this room raises or places

capital — no operators pitching deals, no vendors working the aisles.

Fund of fund managers

LPs

Capital raisers

Aspiring fund of fund managers

Capital allocators

Fund service providers

Four things we do so you don't have to work the room

Doors open half an hour early

Check-in runs from 8:30am. The first session isn't until nine, so the room fills up with thirty minutes of nothing scheduled.

A long midday break

The stretch from 12:15pm is the widest gap in the day, and it's there on purpose. That's when most of the useful conversations happen.

Nobody splits off

One track, one room. Everyone hears the same sessions, so you can restart any conversation at the next break without asking where someone's been.

Ask the allocators directly

The allocator panel takes questions from the floor. You can put your situation to the people writing the checks instead of guessing at it.

We build the day so the right conversations are easy to start. We don't promise

introductions, placements or investment outcomes — just the room and the time to

use it.

  • WHO IT'S FOR

Built for people who raise capital

The day is built for people whose work is raising and placing capital — not for operators looking to pitch their own deals.

You already run a fund

Fund of funds managers

You're running a fund of funds now. Sessions cover structure as you scale, LP reporting, and what allocators look for — and the room is full of people solving the same problems.

You leave with...

Your fund-two structure decided, a reporting rhythm LPs stop chasing you for, and allocators who are deploying now.

You raise deal by deal

Capital raisers

You bring investors into other people's funds and deals. Sessions cover what it takes to run your own vehicle instead, what it costs, and how to build a raise you can repeat.

You leave with...

Clarity on fund structure, economics, and the checklist to run your vehicle efficiently.

You write the checks

Capital Allocators & LPs

You evaluate and place capital. Sessions cover diligence and fund structures from the LP side, and you'll meet the fund managers and capital raisers in the room.

You leave with...

A diligence checklist you can hand your team, and time in front of the GPs raising in his room.

You're building toward one

Aspiring fund managers

You're preparing to launch your first fund. Sessions cover the launch sequence, formation and operating costs, and securities compliance basics.

  • What you walk out with

You'll take home paper, not

notes.

Every working session ends with something filled in. This is what's in

your bag at six o'clock.

  • A fund-or syndication scorecard, filled in against your own deal flow.

  • Your next ninety days of raising, written down while you're still in the room.

  • Answers to the LP questions that usually end the call.

  • A launch cost sheet - legal, audit, fund admin, compliance, line by line.

  • The reporting rhythm allocators expect before a second check.

  • A short list of allocators who invest in what you actually buy

  • Introductions to people you would otherwise be cold-emailing next quarter.

  • The 506(b) and 506(c) lines you can't cross, in plain language.

  • SPEAKERS

Nobody speaks here who

hasn't done it

Every person on this stage runs a fund, allocates into funds, or has

taken an operator from deal-by-deal raising to committed capital.

Their numbers sit under their names.

  • YOUR HOST

I've spent twenty years on both sides of this desk — raising the capital, and deciding where it goes.

I hold part-ownership in more than 4,200 multifamily units, run the HERO Wealth Fund, and lead the HERO Alliance, a group of operators who raise capital for a living. I came here from Vietnam with nothing, which left me with very little patience for advice that falls apart the moment it meets a real deal.

So I built the day I wanted in 2005 and couldn't find: nobody selling from the stage, no panel that exists to fill an hour, and a room where the person sitting next to you is worth the drive on their own.

Things people ask us

Is this room for me?

Fund of funds managers, capital raisers, capital allocators and LPs, and people preparing to launch their first fund. The sessions assume you raise or place capital — this isn't built for operators looking to pitch their own deals.

Free. What's the catch?

There isn't one. Our partners cover the cost of the day, so there's no ticket price and nothing to pay at the door.

Is anyone going to pitch me?

No. Speakers present and answer questions. They don't sell from the stage. Our partners have tables in the common area if you'd like to talk with them.

I haven't launched a fund yet. Too early?

No. Aspiring fund managers are one of the four groups the day is built for. The morning sessions assume no fund experience.

Do I need to be accredited to attend?

No. This is an educational event, not an offering. Nothing is being sold to attendees.

Is any of it recorded?

Selected sessions are recorded and sent to registrants afterward. Discussions and networking portions are not recorded.

Can I bring my partner or an analyst?

Yes. Please register each person separately so we have an accurate headcount and a badge ready.

What if something comes up and I can't make it?

Reply to your confirmation email or text and let us know. Seating is limited, so releasing your spot lets us offer it to someone else.

What should I bring with me?

Business cards, and a deal or fund structure you're currently working on. The workshop sessions are more useful with something specific in front of you.
